Open Thread: What Fall/Winter TV Are You Looking Forward To?
A look at the fall/winter Decoding TV schedule.
Hey Decoding TV subscribers,
David Chen here. I hope you’ve been enjoying the podcast! I’ve had a great time putting together episodes this summer for y’all and I am so grateful for folks like Dan Gvozden, Sarah Marrs, Siddhant Adlakha, and Patrick Klepek for joining me in the co-host chair these past few months. If you’re a paid subscriber, your subscription is critical in helping me to fund all the work we’re doing. So thank you!
I wanted to make this post to see if there’s any TV you’re looking forward to this fall/winter, or if there are shows/topics you’d like to see us cover or discuss on Decoding TV. If so, let us know in the comments — and if someone already commented with your choice, give it a like/heart so we know it’s a popular one.
One thing to keep in mind: With the simultaneous writer/actor’s strike happening right now (read some of my coverage here and here), it’s highly likely that the upcoming TV schedule might be disrupted. I fully support the WGA and SAG-AFTRA in their mission to obtain equitable and sustainable contracts with the AMPTP. Your patience as a subscriber during this time is appreciated.
My current priorities are to continue weekly coverage/recaps with Patrick Klepek and to work with Patrick to spin up more regular bonus episodes/live shows for paid subscribers.
Below are some things we’re already thinking of or planning to cover. I can’t guarantee we will get to what you suggest in the comments but we always love to hear your feedback. Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff We Are Probably Going To Cover
How To with John Wilson Season 3 (currently airing)
Ahsoka (currently airing)
The Continental: From the World of John Wick (September 22)
Loki Season 2 (October 6)
A Murder at the End of the World (November 14)
Stuff That Is Also On Our Radar
Our Flag Means Death (October)
Lessons in Chemistry (October 13)
Echo Season 1 (November 29)
Assuming For All Mankind comes back this winter, that’s at the top of my list.
Fall of the House of Usher, Frasier, Fargo (only shows that start with F apparently). I know you have previously mentioned a rewatch of The Sopranos — my friends and I are watching for the first time so that would be awesome!
